Overworked Restoration Tech on Long Island? Come Lead With a Team That Actually Has Your Back.

If you’re the one everyone calls when a job is on fire (sometimes literally)… but you’re sick of being understaffed, unappreciated, and doing three people’s work for one paycheck, keep reading.

Who This Is For

Experienced restoration / construction tech who takes pride in clean, compliant work.
The “go‑to” on jobs: you show up, take charge, and people are confident because you’re there.
You want more responsibility, more say, and more recognition, not more micromanagement.
You care about people: you can be calm and empathetic with stressed‑out homeowners.
You respond fast, hate excuses, and refuse to live at “good enough.”

What This Role Really Looks Like

This is a Lead Restoration Technician role with United Water Restoration Group – Islandia, NY. You’ll run the job:

Own the site: setup, safety, equipment, documentation, and client updates.
Lead techs on water, fire, mold, and hazard jobs across Nassau & Suffolk.
Rotate on‑call for nights/weekends – real emergencies, real responsibility.
Keep trucks tight, job sites spotless, and jobs moving on schedule.

It’s fast, messy, sometimes gross, and definitely not 9–5. If that turns you off, you’ll hate this. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll love it here.

What You Get Here (That You Don’t Get Everywhere Else)

$28–$32/hr + OT, benefits, and clear path to more responsibility.
A staffed team and real depth – not “hero mode” every single shift. "Built for consistency, not burnout"
Recognition and trust: we hire adults, set standards, and let you lead.
A real voice in how we run: we solve problems with the field, not to them.
Training and support to grow your certifications.

Must Haves

Restoration, construction, or related trade experience. Lead experience a plus.
Relevant certifications (IICRC, Fire, Mold, Asbestos, OSHA, DOT/CMV etc.).
Valid NYS Driver’s License; able to lift/carry equipment and work at a fast pace. "Able to obtain your DOT certification"
Joining the on‑call rotation (nights/weekends).
Highly responsive, hungry to rise above mediocrity, and able to empathize with people on their worst days.

If you read this thinking, “That’s literally me,” apply and put “CALM IN THE CHAOS” in your application subject so we know you’re serious.
