Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 11, 2026

This policy explains what information RestorationHires (restorationhires.com) gathers, how we use it and the choices you have.

In brief: restoration techs, crew leads, estimators, project managers and other people looking for restoration work can search without an account, and anything they submit when applying goes directly to the hiring company rather than to RestorationHires.

Apart from the routine server logs any website produces, the personal data we hold comes from employers who buy job posts.

Information we gather

  • Employers buying a listing: whatever is typed into the posting form, meaning the restoration company or franchise location name, a contact name and email address, and the job itself (title, description, location, pay and application link). The job details are published; the contact name and email stay private and never appear on a post.
  • Payments: checkout is handled by Stripe. You type your card number into a form hosted by Stripe, and it is never sent to RestorationHires; we only get confirmation that the payment went through and the receipt details. Stripe explains how it handles data in Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Job seekers: nothing beyond the routine server data described below. There are no job seeker accounts or profiles on RestorationHires. Clicking Apply takes you to the hiring company's own application page, so your resume, IICRC or licence details and answers go to that employer, not to us.
  • Server data: as with almost any website, our host records basic facts about each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to keep RestorationHires secure and running.
  • Support emails: we keep the emails you send us so we can answer them and look back at previous exchanges.

Purposes we put this information to

  • Publishing and keeping up the restoration job posts that employers pay for.
  • Writing to employers about their posts, such as receipts, notices that a post is about to expire, edits they asked for and answers to their support questions.
  • Running, securing and improving RestorationHires.
  • Meeting our legal duties, such as retaining tax records.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not hand it to other companies so they can market to you.

Analytics and cookies

RestorationHires does not run advertising trackers.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to see overall patterns, like how many pages are viewed and which sites send visitors. We review that data only in aggregate and never use it to build a profile of any one visitor.

The only cookies we use are the ones the site needs to work, such as those Stripe sets during checkout.

Vendors we work with

A small number of outside companies support RestorationHires: Stripe handles payments, and other vendors provide hosting and database storage.

They may use the data only to provide their services to RestorationHires.

Search engines such as Google Jobs can also read live posts, but they see only the public post text, never the employer's private contact details.

Keeping and deleting records

Employer post and payment records are kept as long as we need them to run the service and to satisfy legal and tax record-keeping rules.

A post that has expired and been removed from RestorationHires may still remain as a record in our database.

You can ask us to delete your information whenever you like, using the steps set out below.

Your rights over your data

Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU/UK GDPR may let you access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and object to or limit some kinds of processing.

Send any privacy request to [email protected] .

After verifying your request, we will reply within the period the applicable law requires.

We will not penalize you or treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Minors

RestorationHires is built for restoration employers and for adults working in or entering the restoration trade.

It is not aimed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from people under that age.
